Brrrrrr....as the weather gets colder now is a good time to assemble an
emergency kit in the event of a power outage:
*Check the batteries in flashlights and keep one on bedside table
*DON’T USE CANDLES! THEY ARE A FIRE HAZARD!
*Be especially careful when walking pets after dark
*Make sure phone is always fully charged
*Invest in a solar or battery operated radio
*Bottled water
*Manual can opener for canned food
*Deck of cards (bone up on different types of solitaire!)
As always, reach out if you have an neighbor who is alone to see if they
need anything 🙂
